Do I need an account to use TASKjiq?
No. Without an account the app is complete and free on the device you install it on. An account adds sync, sharing and AI, and needs a plan.
Can I create an account and not pay?
You can create one, but it will not sync, share, or use AI until you choose a plan, and it closes after seven days if none is chosen.
Is there a limit on the size of a file I attach?
Yes, separate from your total storage: 100 MB per file on Basic and Basic+, 500 MB on Standard and Standard+, 1 GB on Pro and Pro+. The app tells you before it starts uploading, not after.
What is the difference between a plan and its + variant?
Only the AI allowance. Storage and file size are the same within Basic, Standard, or Pro.
What happens to my data if I stop paying?
It is kept for 180 days after the account closes, with an email 30 days and 3 days before it would be erased. Paying again in that window restores everything. Your local copies are untouched either way.
Will TASKjiq ever show ads?
No. There are no ads in the app or on this site, on any plan or without one.
Does privacy depend on the plan?
No. Your data is never analysed, sold or given away, on any plan or without one.
Does the app send anything about me?
Error reports, on by default, and you can turn them off in the app under Account → Error reports. A report says what broke and where in our code — never your notes, tasks, files or screen, and nothing that identifies you. It works the same whether or not you have an account.
How is my account protected?
By your password or an emailed code, and — once you turn it on — by a code from an authenticator app on every new sign-in. The app itself can be locked with Face ID, Touch ID, a fingerprint, Windows Hello, or a PIN. The details are on the privacy and security page.
How do I delete my account?
From the account screen in the app, or from this site without the app. Deletion is scheduled a week out, you can cancel it in that week, and it removes everything.
